Job Title: Controls Technician

Job Description

As a Controls Technician, you will maintain and improve the control system reliability of automated production equipment. You will support troubleshooting efforts when production system performance falls below acceptable levels to avoid or minimize interruptions to production. You will also be responsible for assisting other electrical and mechanical technicians with preventative maintenance, breakdowns, and miscellaneous work orders as needed. You will be in charge of installing, configuring, maintaining, or replacing industrial control devices such as HMIs, VFDs, PLCs, and respond to significant plant downtime events. Other duties include supporting new equipment installation and startup, performing needed calibration of electrical control components, and working with controls engineering on controls-related projects.

Hard Skills

• Ability to troubleshoot off electrical diagrams or schematics

• Ability to electrically troubleshoot equipment or machinery

• Experience with control wiring

• Experience with PLC

• 3+ Years Experience

Soft Skills

• Keen eye for details

• Electrical aptitude

• Comfortable with computers and industrial controls software
