Role Summary/Purpose:

We're looking for a curious and data-driven marketer to support lifecycle and acquisition marketing for select Core Home Vertical clients. The AVP, Core Home Vertical Marketing will be responsible for driving volume growth, client penetration and profitability for several furniture, electronics, appliance and mattress clients.

This position partners with select clients to develop and execute a consumer credit culture across all channels including client websites, email, SEM, social media, in-store and traditional advertising - all within regulatory compliance guidelines. Reaching consumers with a strong digital channel focus will be critical.

The chosen leader will serve as a marketing catalyst between our cross-functional teams, executing multi-channel marketing campaigns designed to encourage cardholder acquisition, activation and repeat use from existing cardholders.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Assess select client needs, business goals, and opportunities. Jointly create and execute a growth plan to align with each client's overall business strategies.

  • Incorporate a consultative marketing approach that utilizes Synchrony's consumer and competitive data analysis to develop strong and differentiated consumer value propositions (including promotional financing, incentive programs, special discounts and segmentation).

  • Develop and execute client marketing plans through a variety of channels including email, direct mail, digital, cardholder statement and in-store. This role will own campaign request submission, project timeline, creative development, internal and client review, and campaign documentation.

  • Establish and develop key relationships within each of the client organizations. Maximize growth and optimize returns across client portfolio. Understand the client's business objectives, strategies and tactical plans for driving traffic, transactions, and loyalty; recommend ways to integrate into their marketing calendar and channels.

  • Jointly with Sales drive and communicate key metrics pertaining to the performance of the client portfolios (sales, new accounts, repeat purchase percentage, digital engagement, penetration, and return.)

  • Create, build, and maintain a collaborative partnership with sales, risk, finance and other cross-functional teams to drive overall results.

  • Own and manage the creation of POs to support campaigns; track marketing expenses and manage annual PAR reviews and monthly forecasting.

  • Work with Rewards IT, COPS, Performance Marketing, etc. to ensure efficient and compliant fulfillment of consumer offers.

  • Manage updates to existing program collateral, cardholder documents, internal and client presentations, and in-store materials.

  • Partner with the digital marketing team to manage the coordination and implementation of offers on Synchrony's consumer facing website.

  • Monitor client websites and consult on digital best practices to integrate financing compliantly into their website strategies and all other marketing channels.

  • Perform other duties and/or special projects as assigned.

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree; OR, in lieu of a degree, a high school diploma/GED and 9 years of marketing experience

  • 5+ years of marketing experience

  • 2+ years of consumer marketing experience

  • 2+ years digital marketing experience (SEM, email, website, etc.)

  • Ability to travel as needed; 10%.

  • Marketing experience with furniture, electronics and/or home accessories

  • Credit card or other financial services marketing experience

  • Ability to manage multiple projects/initiatives simultaneously

  • Strong presentation skills

  • Enjoy a balance of strategic work with hands-on-implementation.

  • High attention to detail and proven ability to manage multiple, competing priorities simultaneously.

  • Can self-manage and work autonomously with remote, dispersed teams.

Grade/Level: 11

The salary range for this position is 90,000.00 - 155,000.00 USD Annual and is eligible for an annual bonus based on individual and company performance.

Actual compensation offered within the posted salary range will be based upon work experience, skill level or knowledge.

Salaries are adjusted according to market in CA, NY Metro and Seattle.

Eligibility Requirements:

  • You must be 18 years or older

  • You must have a high school diploma or equivalent

  • You must be willing to take a drug test, submit to a background investigation and submit fingerprints as part of the onboarding process

  • You must be able to satisfy the requirements of Section 19 of the Federal Deposit Insurance Act.

  • New hires (Level 4-7) must have 9 months of continuous service with the company before they are eligible to post on other roles. Once this new hire time in position requirement is met, the associate will have a minimum 6 months' time in position before they can post for future non-exempt roles. Employees, level 8 or greater, must have at least 18 months' time in position before they can post. All internal employees must consistently meet performance expectations and have approval from your manager to post (or the approval of your manager and HR if you don't meet the time in position or performance expectations).
