Reference #: GAFLUS202411076EXTERNALENUS What You Will Do: What you will do The Business Development Lifecycle Program Trainer will collaborate with leaders and stakeholders to design, develop, implement, and evaluate learning solutions that drive business development lifecycle objectives. Learning programs anticipated to include: overarching business development lifecycle, client account management/client engagement, capture management, oral interviewing/public speaking, and business development systems (CRM and other databases).

The location for this position is open but needs to be drivable to a Gannett Fleming office.

Principal Responsibilities and essential functions Design and develop clear and engaging end-to-end learning experiences and performance-focused solutions aligned to business development lifecycle objectives. Maintenance of program documentation and training materials, including but not limited to: Business Development Lifecycle Program - program documentation updates, overall lifecycle training Client Account Management/Client Engagement - client team management roles, client engagement techniques and tactics (value proposition meetings), client satisfaction interviews, lead generation, etc. Capture Management role training - capture manager role, SWOT (Strength-Weakness-Opportunity-Threat), IFBP (Issues-Features-Benefits-Proofs), competitor analysis, etc. Interview training - ability to coach and prepare Top 10 and/or Priority Opportunity interview teams. Business development systems training - CRM, projects/resumes database training, other key tools in supporting growth/sales positions. Apply adult learning theory, industry best practices, and evidence-based instructional design strategies to develop a learning program and supporting training materials. Partnership with sales leadership positions to conduct needs assessment and training needs analysis to develop strategic plans, design learning solutions, and conduct resource planning. These positions may include: Chief Growth Officer, Corporate Business Development Director, Sales & Growth Leaders, Business Growth Leaders, Client Account Managers (various tiers), Capture Managers, BDM Leaders. Act as internal consultant and trusted advisor to program stakeholders, adeptly maneuvering through the instructional design process from analysis through evaluation. Ensure alignment and collaboration amongst stakeholders by effectively developing, communicating, and negotiating buy-in to workplans, timelines, and scope. Draft, revise, and edit instructional materials such as course outlines, templates, style guides, video and audio scripts, instructor guides, participant guides, learning assessments, and course evaluations. Develop and deliver through varied forums: in-person classroom-based, virtual instructor-led training, and self-managed training for a broad range of participants. Develop internal subject matter trainers and external training vendor relationships as necessary to augment training program. Partnership with the Corporate Learning & Development Team to ensure materials are compliant with Corporate LMS system standards and other processes. Broader work or accountabilities may be assigned as needed.Education | Experience: Education and Licensing requirements Bachelor's degree required. Training, Skills, Knowledge and/or experience 15+ years relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of post-secondary education and experience. Deep knowledge of business development processes in a client account management setting in the AEC industry Experience in the design, development, and delivery of training materials for multiple delivery methods (instructor-led, virtual instructor-led, web-based training development, blended learning solutions). Experience using Microsoft Office to develop training templates, visual aids, and job aids. Experience using content authoring tools, such as Articulate Storyline, to develop web-b sed training content. Experience applying graphic design principles and best practices to training development. Superior communication skills; oral and written. Strong collaboration and teaming skills. Analytical mindset and problem-solving skills. Commitment to data-driven decision-making. Ability to occasionally travel for team meetings, professional development, or instructor-led training initiatives. Additional Notes Other duties may be assigned as necessary. Generally, office work environment. Must be able to sit or stand for extended periods of time.
