Treatment Assistant (CV710-1) - Reentry Services Division
The position of Treatment Assistant shall report to the Treatment Coordinator and/or Assistant Director. The successful applicant will be part of the treatment team. They will perform both a treatment function emphasizing accountability established through the funding source and according to Volunteers of America Policy, as well as an administrative function by assisting Case Managers and/or Substance Abuse Counselors with some clerical-oriented duties. They will be responsible for working with special needs clients, as well as conducting intakes, family intakes, entering data collection information, and facilitating orientation and life skills sessions to residents.
The successful applicant in this position must have a minimum of a high school diploma or a GED with one year experience with Volunteers of America or one year experience in a Human Services related field. Transferable experience is preferred. They must possess effective written and verbal communication skills, and an ability to interact appropriately with clientele. Basic computer skills are preferred. They must have a valid driver`s license and be able to meet Volunteers of America driver standards.
