The Junior Financial Analyst will support Program Executive Office, Unmanned Aviation & Strike Weapons (PEO(U&W)), providing comprehensive financial management and administrative support for multiple Joint US Navy and US Air Force Air-to-Air Missiles programs.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

The Junior Financial Analyst will be responsible for:

  • Conducting quantitative analyses of information affecting investment programs of public or private institutions.

  • Assisting with the execution of funding, responding to financial data calls, and managing financial spend plans.

  • Supporting the program logistics managers in developing and implementing weapons maintenance cost planning, budget projections, and program health assessments.

  • Analyzing and validating program cost data and recommending changes to ensure program requirements and acquisition strategies are executable.

  • Monitoring funding execution status and preparing financial documentation.

  • Preparing evaluations of cost methods utilizing cost analysis, estimating, impacts, data compilation integral to missile production and quality assurance.

  • Collecting and coordinating financial data for budgeting and reporting purposes.

  • Assisting in the development and implementation of financial policies and procedures.

  • Performing additional duties as assigned

    REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field, with at least 2 years of financial management experience, of which 1 year must have been with the Department of the Navy.

  • ALLOWABLE SUBSTITUTIONS: Associates degree plus 2 years additional work experience (4 years total) performing the essential functions may be substituted for a Bachelor's degree. An additional 4 years of experience (6 years total) performing the essential function may also be substituted for a Bachelor's degree.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

    DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Knowledge of USAF financial management policies and procedures.

  • Experience with financial analysis of business programs, development of cost estimates, and program status reports.

  • Familiarity with DoD Financial Management Regulations (FMR), Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), and the Planning, Programming, Budgeting, and Execution (PPBE) process.

  • Two years of experience with DoN procurement policies and procedures.

  • Experience with automated system tools such as Case Reconciliation Tool (CRT), Management Information System for International Logistics (MISIL), and Defense Integrated Financial System (DIFS).
