We are seeking a skilled and experienced Maximo Release Manager to join our team. The Maximo Release Manager will be responsible for overseeing the planning, coordination, and execution of Maximo software releases. This role involves working closely with development teams, product managers, and stakeholders to ensure the successful delivery of high-quality releases on time and within budget. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of Maximo software and release management processes, along with excellent communication and leadership skills.

Responsibilities include:

  • Plan and coordinate Maximo software releases, including release scheduling, resource allocation, and risk management.

  • Work closely with development teams to define release scope, objectives, and timelines.

  • Coordinate release activities across multiple teams and departments, including development, testing, and deployment.

  • Communicate release status, issues, and risks to stakeholders, management, and project teams.

  • Monitor release progress and identify and resolve issues or delays that may impact delivery timelines.

  • Develop and maintain release documentation, including release plans, deployment guides, and release notes.

  • Collaborate with product managers to prioritize and schedule feature enhancements and bug fixes for upcoming releases.

  • Continuously improve release management processes and tools to increase efficiency and quality.

  • Provide leadership and guidance to release management team members and other stakeholders.

Must be located in Calgary or willing to relocate to Calgary

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

  • Overall 8-10 years of experience in similar area.

  • At least three years of experience:

  • Implementing, upgrading, or supporting IBM Maximo Enterprise Asset Management Software (Ver 7.5+).

  • Performing application support activities by troubleshooting and correcting issues and defects, reporting to management, and liaising with business and end-user clients.

  • Extensive experience across implementing programs/codes and configuration changes to the Maximo application, as per technical specifications, using Application Designer, BIRT Reports, JMS Queries, JVM Monitoring.

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field.

  • 3+ years of experience in release management or related role.

  • Strong understanding of Maximo software and release management processes.

  • Experience with release management tools and techniques, such as version control systems, deployment automation, and release pipelines.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.

  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.

  • Ability to work independently and drive results in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

  • Experience with Agile and/or DevOps methodologies.

  • Developed medium to complex workflows on standard Maximo objects like PR, PO contracts and work order.

  • Willing to work evening/weekend support shift as required.

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise

  • Application Management Services experience with Maximo Integration framework, webservices, XML.

  • Experience with processing rules and user exit/processing class using automation scripts.

  • Knowledge in any industrial solution such as oil and gas or Travel and transportation would be an added advantage.
