Job Title: Maintenance Manager (Aviation)

Job Description

We are seeking a proactive Maintenance Manager to lead and oversee the maintenance department at our Calgary site. In this role, you will be responsible for achieving departmental goals and objectives, including planning, budgeting, safety, security, and quality KPIs. Your duties will include establishing annual performance objectives and metrics in collaboration with the Director of Maintenance, overseeing project execution, and providing a single point of contact for each maintenance project. You will ensure that all personnel have the necessary equipment, facilities, and skills to perform their duties effectively. Additionally, you will work with Material Management to issue Purchase Orders and anticipate and solve problems to achieve both short and long-term goals. Your role also involves using performance management to drive the right behavior, developing and cultivating effective relationships, and integrating policies and procedures with other Maintenance Managers to ensure consistency across all bases.

Requirements:

• Aircraft Maintenance Management

• Aviation Management

• Must have aviation experience

• Transport Canada AME License

• Knowledge of Transport Canada legislation

• Knowledge of airport traffic systems

• Be able to obtain RAIC

• Willing to travel for work

• Experience with project management

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Calgary, Alberta.

Work Environment

You will report directly to the supervisor and manage a team of 20 people with 6 direct reports at the Calgary site. The standard shift is Monday to Friday day shift, with on-call work required on weekends.
