About this Role
Probst Electric is hiring a Senior Project Scheduler to assist with a large Transmission Project.
What You'll Do
Develop, maintain, and analyze project schedules using Primavera P6 software.
Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to gather project information and ensure accuracy of schedules.
Monitor project progress and performance to identify potential schedule conflicts or delays.
Provide regular updates and reports on project schedule status, milestones, and key performance indicators.
Conduct schedule risk assessments and propose mitigation strategies.
Assist in the development of baseline schedules and track deviations from the baseline.
Ensure compliance with project scheduling standards, policies, and procedures.
Support project teams in understanding and adhering to schedule requirements.
Participate in project meetings and provide schedule-related insights and recommendations.
What You'll Bring
Experience supporting project controls utilizing Primavera P6 for cost and schedule control.
Experience working on large capital construction projects ranging between $250M – 1B$ and supporting 750+ functional resources in a senior or lead project controls capacity.
Proficient in utilizing advanced scheduling functions in P6 including Resource Loading & Management, Earned Value Management, Critical Path Analysis, What-If-Analysis, Settings Management and Report Creation.
Ability to use custom Filters and Group/Sort functions to pare down large schedules and create custom layouts for Stakeholders.
Experience working on linear construction projects such as railways, pipelines, powerlines, fiber networks (vertical construction such as hotels/high rises and industrial plants also acceptable).
Familiarity working with and/or managing basic project management tenets including project planning, risk management, project controls, document control, project reporting and resource management.
Basic knowledge of design-build project activities and dependencies including permitting, regulatory, environmental, engineering submittals and reviews, ROW acquisition, material procurement, constructions, restoration and startup and commissioning.
Familiarity with Tilos preferred but not required
Utility experience preferred but not required
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams
Solid understanding of project management principles, techniques, and methodologies
PMP preferred but not required
