Holly Springs School District Secondary School Teacher (Science) in Byhalia, Mississippi
Job duties: As a High School Science Teacher, responsible for providing a rigorous high-quality education in a challenging range of 9 to 12th Grade classroom conditions from diverse ethnic, financial, and academic backgrounds. Requires expertise to teach high school students environmental-related science, biology, and ecology as well as comfort with and background in basic chemistry. Prepare and deliver lectures to 9 to 12th-grade students to develop an awareness of the role of science. Motivate each pupil to acquire knowledge of scientific facts, principles, and skills to discover and develop the special talents of pupils. Plan a science program involving demonstrations, hands-on activities, lectures, discussions, and student experiments. Organize laboratory activities for 9-12th grade students for optimum learning. Evaluate and grade secondary school student's classwork, assignments, and papers. Prepare course materials, syllabi, homework assignments, and handouts. Use computer literacy skills, different software, and specialized equipment with a focus on the biological terms, interactive educational software programs. May require teaching high school AP classes, prepare students for college-level studies with the programs and services such as SAT: SAT Readiness Program. Enforce all high school administration policies and rules governing students.
Education: Bachelor's degree (Or) Foreign Equivalent in Science / Education.
Experience: 24 Months
License: Applicant must have a State of Mississippi teaching certificate
Salary: $45,080/ Year. plus, Normal fringe benefits.
