Key responsibilities

The Quality Assurance Technician is responsible for ensuring that raw materials, blended products and finished goods meet or exceed quality standards established by the company and Kerry customers. This position will verify conformity through measurement and assessment. This requires collecting samples from each stage of production, use of equipment to test for a variety of properties and verification of formulas. All data points are to be collected and entered into computer systems, primarily SAP. The role of QA technician requires sound judgement to make rational decisions pertaining to recommended adjustments, corrective actions, and disposition of goods. Success in this position requires fast paced performance in a team environment and interpersonal skills.

Qualifications and skills

  • High School diploma or equivalency.

  • Associates of Scienceor higher degreeand/or 2 years of related experience preferred.

  • At least 1 yr. of food or chemical manufacturing experience, chemical testing and analysis role preferred.

  • Prior training in HACCP, SQF, CGMP's preferred.

  • Utilization of SAP, MS and other manufacturing software.

  • Ability to read, understand and follow laboratory, sensory and physical testing protocols and methods.

  • Ability to work in a temperature controlled, manufacturing environment.
