NORTHWESTERN ENERGY Environmental Engineer in BUTTE, Montana
QUALIFICATIONS INCLUDE:
- Bachelor's Degree in environmental or civil engineering
- Ability to demonstrate and maintain a good safety record
- Formal training and experience with soils, solid and hazardous waste, air and water resources
- Demonstrated expertise in interpreting and understanding federal and state environmental policy, regulations and permits
- Technical writing and project management skills
- Proficient in negotiating, conflict resolution and problem solving
- Excellent relationship building and interpersonal skills
- Good computer skills in the use of Microsoft Office and ESRI - ARCGIS products
- Experience in design and execution of environmental sampling projects
- Ability to do statewide travel and outdoor environment up to 25% of the time; overnight travel is required up to 10% of the time
- Ability to pass a background check
- Five years of experience in environmental engineering with PE or ability to obtain PE preferred
DUTIES INCLUDE:
- Provide technical support for environmental initiatives
- Coordinate project team work and deliverables
- Interface with internal project managers and environmental personnel
- Manage internal and external resources and contractors as part of a multi-disciplinary project team
- Coordinate or manage remediation projects
- Adhere to company safety standards and the Code of Business Conduct & Ethics
- Ensure all actions are consistent with NorthWestern Energy's values, mission, and strategic business objectives
Full-time position.
$62,900 - $135,200 annually, depending on experience.
