AP Professionals/AP Technical Search Human Resources Generalist in Buffalo, New York
Buffalo. AP Professionals. Human resources Generalist. $75,000/year.
Responsibilities: * Performs routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to compensation and benefits, talent acquisition, performance management, disciplinary matters, disputes and investigations, recognition and engagement, and employee development. * Responsible for the talent acquisition process including recruiting, interviewing, and onboarding of qualified job applicants for open positions; collaborates with Managers and Practice Group Leaders to understand skills and competencies required for openings. * Suggests and helps implement new procedures and policies to continually improve efficiency of the HR department and organization as a whole and to improve employee experience. * Provides input in design and development of company-wide HR initiatives and programs to ensure alignment with firm needs. * Assists Managers and Practice Group Leaders in developing people-solutions through organizational development (e.g., roles and responsibility clarification, competency development, coaching, etc.) * Handles employment-related inquiries from employees, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff. * Handles a range of employee relations issues, including conflict resolution, disciplinary actions, and performance improvement plans. Provides consistent and fair guidance and support to managers and employees in line with company policies and procedures. * Gathers and analyzes data to assess the effectiveness of HR initiatives. * Provides back up support to Payroll/Benefits manager when necessary. * Attends and participates in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations. * Reviews and documents compliance with mandatory and non-mandatory training, continuing education, and work assessments.
Qualifications: * Bachelors degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field. * 5+ years HR Generalist experience. * HRIS experience required, Paycom experience a plus
