Job Description:

The FERC Optimization & Denial Prevention Analyst is responsible for supporting the Revenue Integrity Director of FERC Optimization & Denial Prevention with preventing revenue leakage and maximizing potential revenue through process redesign and improvement, policy/procedure implementation, along with continuing education, communications and an overall partnership with operational leaders. This includes but is not limited to review of payer policies and contracts, workflow optimization, leveraging revenue integrity pre-bill edit scrubbing, root cause analysis and denial coordination, education and/or training regarding denial prevention and workflow implementation.

Act as a consultant with internal operational leaders to initiate, coordinate and provide knowledge using revenue cycle data to help support revenue optimization and denial reduction initiatives and workflows.

Minimum or Preferred Qualifications:

BS - Bachelor of Science in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or related field required. MA - Masters in Health Information Management, Business Administration, Healthcare Administration or a related field preferred. 5 years experience in billing, charge documentation, charge audit or charge capture activities, or other functions related to revenue cycle activities required. 3 years' experience and proficiency with MS Excel, Access, Word and PowerPoint required. 2 years' experience with report writing preferred. RHIA, RHIT, CCS, CPC/CMC, COC or other coding credentials - Prior to or within 1 year of hire preferred. Healthcare Compliance Certification (CDC) - Prior to or within 1 year of hire preferred. Certified Revenue Cycle Representative (CRCR) - Prior to or within 6 months of hire preferred.

$56,891-$87,067 annually Wage will be determined based on factors such as candidate's experience, qualifications, internal equity, and any applicable collective bargaining agreement.
