Position Summary

The Finance Manger position supports IT Portfolio expense management within CVS Health’s Pharmacy and Consumer Wellness (PCW) segment. The position is a member of PCW IT Finance team and will work cross-functionally with the Project Management Office (PMO), Fixed Assets, PCW FP&A, Procurement, Human Resources, and other Finance teams to successfully manage, plan, and report on PCW IT Portfolio Labor (internal and external/contract) expenses. This position reports to the Lead Director of PCW IT FP&A.

The primary responsibilities include:

· Performing month-end (ME) journal entries, variance analyses, and reporting for multiple areas within the PCW IT portfolio.

· Developing financial models and templates to upload the IT Labor budget and forecast in Anaplan (IT Project level).

· Partnering with the IT business to create informed templates to upload SG&A expenses into SAP/S4-Hana (Cost Center level).

· Partnering with the PMO and cost center owners to ensure FTE rosters are accurately maintained.

· Performing monthly financial analyses based on KPIs to be reviewed and consolidated by the Director of the PCW IT FP&A team for inclusion in regular Senior Management meetings. Examples include: volume vs rate variance analysis, risks and opportunity projections, development project capitalization trend analysis, and savings initiative performance tracking.

· Leveraging Clarity and Ariba procurement applications to review and provide timely feedback on external IT Labor Contracts / Statements of Work (SOWs). Requires review of available IT Labor Hours across the CSS IT Portfolio in preparation for weekly review meetings with the PMO where you will provide approval or informed guidance.

· Managing and maintaining IT cost center internal resource rosters to develop accurate IT Labor reporting and facilitate FP&A budget and forecast updates. Includes tracking both administrative (Non-Time Entry roles) and technical positions (Time Entry roles).

· Coordinating and supporting frequent engagements with the Director of PCW IT FP&A, PMO and various direct reports of the IT Leadership team in support of building yearly budgets and quarterly forecasts assumptions.

· Assisting the Director of PCW IT FP&A with any ad-hoc requests.

Additionally, developing and maintaining KPI performance tracking models for multi-year IT projects. Tracks, analyzes, and reports on the financial impact of current and proposed IT & business investments.

You will work directly with the Lead Director of PCW IT FP&A and the PMO to update timing of project expenses into the forecast, execute ME close, and complete monthly variance analysis reporting. This position will support and work closely with HR, Fixed Assets Accounting, Finance, and multiple IT business partners to ensure accurate planning and reporting.

Required Qualifications

· 5 or more years of experience in an FP&A role (or 5 years in corporate IT finance or accounting).

· 2 or more years performing actuals vs budget variance analysis.

· 2 or more years of experience with Microsoft Excel.

· 2 or more years of experience with SAP ERP products.

· Strong verbal and written communication skills.

· Ability to work independently on ad-hoc assignments and projects.

· Comfortable speaking to Senior Management and Executive Leadership.

Preferred Qualifications

· Experience with Clarity PM, Anaplan, SAP Business Intelligence: S/4HANA, and Analytics for Excel.

· Experience performing trend analysis for either business or IT projects.

· Experience working in Finance or PMO department for a large, Insurance Provider, or a large public company.

· Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.

· Independent worker who can take direction and multitask under tight deadlines.

· 1 or more years working closely with executive level leadership.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Economics is preferred or equivalent experience.

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:

$63,300.00 - $139,200.00

This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
