Job Title: Maintenance Mechanic
Job Description
The Maintenance Mechanic performs preventative maintenance on building systems, plumbing, electrical, mechanical, and control systems. This role involves testing system competency, evaluating performance, and maintaining a variety of facility systems, components, and structures.
Responsibilities
Perform preventative maintenance on building systems, plumbing, electrical, mechanical, and control systems.
Assist in planning and scheduling preventative maintenance work.
Repair and maintain facilities systems, components, and structures.
Research and order replacement parts, equipment, materials, and supplies as required.
Maintain induction and air handling units, including cleaning, inspecting, and servicing.
Coordinate maintenance of water distribution systems.
Identify, repair, and maintain appliances and heating and cooling equipment.
Perform service and preventative maintenance on motorized equipment.
Identify repair and maintenance projects requiring contractors or vendors.
Coordinate with Facility Project Manager to resolve facility issues.
Coordinate with other Facility Maintenance Technicians to prioritize tasks.
Access and adjust computerized control systems for lighting or energy management.
Train less-skilled staff in facilities maintenance trades.
Develop work plans for emergency repair of critical assets.
Effectively use computerized maintenance management system and service request systems.

Building maintenance and construction trades (plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, tile, etc.).
HVAC repair and inspection.
PC competency and ability to use mobile apps on handheld devices.
Familiar with wiring diagrams, symbols, and electrical measuring.
Manufacturing experience preferred.
