MMD Medical, a Velosity Company is searching for a Deburring Techroleto support our manufacturing facility in Brooklyn Park, MN. The Swiss Machining Deburring Technician is responsible for set up and operation of deburring equipment to remove excess materials or burrs from surfaces on or in various plastics and metals to meet established quality and efficiency guidelines and customer specifications. This is an on-site position. The typical pay range for this role: $22-$24/hour This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The compensation that will be offered to the successful candidate will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. Shift: 2nd shift: Monday - Thursday, 5:00am - 3:30pm, could also accommodate a 5-8's schedule. Who is MMD Medical? This will include proper labelling of packages by using weight scales, hand counting and the use of the ERP system to accurately enter both good and scrap quantities. Set up and operate deburring equipment with minimal supervision in accordance work instructions, blueprints and operation sheets per customer requirements. Follow job traveler standard rates and report out using hour by hour board to meet or exceed the production rate and scrap requirements as driven by the ERP system. Maintains continuity among work shifts by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs verbally or by documenting in shift to shift transfer books. Reports machine, material and quality concerns or issues to leads/ Supervisors. Pay close attention to details including chips, cracks, missing features and discoloration. An ability to work well with hands on small parts. Verify all products meet quality specifications visually by using a microscope and dedurring tools in accordance with specifications or other Quality System requirements. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications: High School Diploma/GED Strong attention to detail is required Ability to read and write in English, comprehend and follow work instructions. Able to use measuring instruments such as scales, calipers, dial indicators Strong computer skills, to include Excel and Word Excellent written & oral communication skills Work Conditions & Physical Demands: Manufacturing environment, exposure to heat, noise, dust, dirt, oil and water. Sitting, Standing, Walking, Kneeling, Bending, Reaching, Talking, Seeing, Hearing Ability to lift up to 30 lbs. Licensing/Registration/Certification: Valid identification and the ability to work legally in the United States. We maintain a drug-free workplace and perform pre-employment substance abuse testing.
