JPMorgan Chase Head - Country, Product and Global Systemically Important Banks Reporting in Brooklyn, New York
Firmwide Regulatory Reporting & Analysis is seeking an experienced leader to oversee all aspects of reporting for key regulatory filings related to Country, Product and GSIB reporting. Large platform with room for growth and upward mobility. This is a high-impact opportunity on FRRA's management team leading a global team of 30 professionals, with broad impact and room for upward mobility. Ideal candidate includes an Individual with a desire to improve processes, understand the regulatory framework and the impact to the Firms balance sheet and capital.
As the Head of Country, Product and Global Systemically Important Banks Reporting within the Firmwide Regulatory Reporting & Analysis team, you will be responsible for the comprehensive management of crucial regulatory filings. Your role will involve leading a global team of approximately 30 professionals, ensuring adherence to instructions for JPMC's key regulatory filings, coordinating with LOBs and functional groups, and maintaining effective communication with regulators. Job responsibilities
Lead the team (30 globally) to execute all aspects of filing for Y-15, 009, 2510 and various product-specific reports across Assets Under Custody, Deposits, Derivatives and Cash
Review reference data attributes and reporting logic (e.g. Python, SQL) in detail to assess data integrity and instruction compliance
Define/calibrate target-state data sourcing plans and execute solutions to get there
Being accountable to senior management (CFO, OC-1 level executives)
Coordinate with LOBs and functional groups (e.g. Firmwide Financial Control, Capital Management) on common deliverables
Partner with Policy on technical interpretations
Influence Tech to ensure appropriate prioritization of resources
Lead all regulator engagements for reports in-scope
Coach and develop team members
Maintain a healthy team culture and improve individual productivity
Required qualifications, capabilities and skills
Bachelor's degree or the equivalent in Accounting, Finance or related field
15+ years of experience in a major financial services organization within Legal Entity or Product Control, Financial Accounting, Financial/Capital/Risk Reporting or other similar Finance disciplines (e.g. Planning & Analysis)
Strong technical depth in product and accounting
First principle based thinking focusing on facts, logic and context
Exposure to / experience in external reporting for large Financial institutions
Ability to dive into details and zoom out for senior audiences
Ability to articulate a vision and build consensus
Ability to listen to stakeholders and recommend solutions aligned to their priorities, while ensuring they align to the Firm's priorities
Ability to prioritize and manage expectations
Strong relationship and influencing skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills
Experience driving business process improvements and technology enhancements is preferred
Experience presenting to senior leadership of the Firm and to external groups is preferred
Experience in coding a nice to have (e.g. review Python, SQL based codes impacting balances for reporting)
