Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Injection Mold Process Technician to join our team. You will be responsible for all aspects of the injection mold processes including changing out molds, completing setups, troubleshooting, operation, and maintenance of injection mold equipment. This is a hands-on role that requires attention to detail and technical expertise in plastics extrusion and injection molding.
Duties:
Set up and operate injection molding machines according to production specifications
Monitor machine operations and make adjustments as necessary to ensure quality output
Inspect finished products for defects and ensure they meet quality standards
Troubleshoot and resolve issues with the injection molding process
Perform routine maintenance on machines to keep them in optimal working condition
Assemble and disassemble molds as needed
Use precision measuring instruments, such as calipers, to verify product dimensions
Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment
Skills:
Strong understanding of plastics extrusion and injection molding processes
Proficiency in using precision measuring instruments, such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges
Basic math skills for calculating measurements and adjusting machine settings
Must have injection mold machine experience
Must be able to lift to 60 lbs.
Mechanical knowledge of injection mold machines and tools, including their design, uses, repair, and maintenance
Troubleshooting skills - The ability to solve mechanical problems
Communication feedback from operators for improvements, issues etc.
Production and processing - knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods.
Attention to detail - this job requires being careful about detail and thorough in completing work tasks
Flexible - Able to work with Director of Operations regarding customer demands, often leading to changes in production
Dependability - must be reliable, responsible, dependable, and fulfilling obligations.
