This job role profile describes the indicative tasks and responsibilities for the Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) Officer. The role is responsible to support the project by delivering the ILS Program as part of a Capability Sustainment outcome.

Role description

The ILS manager will support the EWIS – Joint and Air customer in Cabarlah Queensland. The role is accountable under limited direction to perform and achieve complex logistics inventory and asset management within an integrated workforce. They are accountable to have and maintain a well-developed understanding of and compliance to relevant legislative frameworks, government decision making and Defence’s mission and policy requirements. They will be required to engage and communicate with stakeholders to identify, respond, and provide advice on issues to achieve work unit and Defence outcomes.

Security clearance

This role is minimum NV1 with ability to obtain NV2.

Key Tasks

Experience working in an acquisition or sustainment logistics environment with proven skills to:

• Manage receipt, inventory checks, and distribution of Mission Systems (MS) from End User Units (EUU) and manufacturers, including handling returns for repair or replacement.

• Track and account for all purchases, maintain physical and electronic records, and assist with MS testing, updates, and configuration changes.

• Liaise with Field service representatives (FSRs and EUU on MS issues, faults, repairs, and provide support for Personal Communications Systems (PCS) disposal activities and RODUM tracking/processing.

• Maintain key logistics documents, raise and process purchase orders, and support software audits and version tracking.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated ability to work in and manage small teams

• Experienced Inventory Management Practitioner

• Excellent attention to detail
