Aerotek Sheet Metal Mechanic in Bridgewater, Virginia

Description:

Perform modifications and heavy maintenance on King Airs and DHC8 aircrafts.

Job responsibilities include the following:

-Shoot and buck rivets to specifications

-Recognize differences in types of metals including structural strength and thickness

-Perform sheet metal bends to guidelines and specifications as dictated in normal aviation practices

-Remove existing rivets from aircraft structure

-Build components for aircraft applications using a variety of sheet metal materials

-Perform repairs to the aircraft along with determine which repairs can or cannot be made

-Read blueprints to ensure build and modification completion, follow both written and verbal instructions

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

5+ years aircraft structures experience

-aircraft modification

-DCMA/Military environment experience preferred

-Must provide own tools
