About the Role Kitsap Credit Union is hiring a full-time HR Generalist & Benefits Specialist to work hybrid out of our Bremerton-Harborside location. The HR Generalist & Benefits Specialist is responsible for executing the daily functions of the Human Resource (HR) department including administering benefits and leave of absence and enforcing company policies and practices. This position provides end-to-end HR support, working in collaboration with leaders and peers to enhance employee experiences, and facilitate accuracy and thoroughness through the processes, procedures, flow of information, and communication efforts managed by Human Resources. Quick Facts Seniority Level: Individual Contributor Reports to: HR Manager Employment Type: Full-Time, hourly, non-exempt, hybrid Salary Range: $34.43 to $43.03/hr depending on experience Bonus Target: 7% potential incentive of base pay Working Hours: Monday - Friday 8AM - 5PM Grade: 10BC Industry: Banking What you will do * Ensures the necessary pre-hire documentation, including background checks and employee eligibility verifications, have been completed. * Ensures employees are benefited accurately and on time. * Manages benefits administration and enrollment. * Supports payroll with benefits reconciliation. * Ensure compliance reporting requirements are met with the support of the HR Director. * Handles employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff. * Attends and participates in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations. * Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance. * Conducts, in partnership with Training & Development mandatory and non-mandatory training, continuing education, and/or HR related topics as required. * Maintains handbook and policy documents to ensure accessibility to most up-to-date versions. * Coordinates between all departments to ensure proper information flow and maintain accurate and up-to-date employee data across multiple platforms. * Partners with and communicates various policies, procedures, laws, standards and government regulations.
