Robert Half General Accounting Coordinator in Bremen, Georgia

Description We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for a Full Charge Bookkeeper in Breman, Georgia, 30110, United States. This role involves leading and coordinating all aspects of General Accounting functions to ensure compliance with GAAP standards and company policies.

Responsibilities:

• Manage, track, and maintain the fixed assets ledger by coordinating with internal departments and accounts payable.

• Prepare fixed schedules for fixed assets and administer yearly fixed asset audit.

• Investigate and resolve accounting software problems with MIS and/or outside consultants.

• Issue, approve, and track Capital Appropriation Requests (CARs).

• Reconcile balance sheet accounts.

• Account reconciliation and analysis of prepaid expenses, accrued expenses, buy-up tooling, and capital leases.

• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly scrap reporting analysis.

• Set up vendor accounts, General Ledger codes, and Automatic Instructions in JD Edwards.

• Balance and post payroll entries from payroll system into JD Edwards.

• Set up GL interface with Paycom to ensure proper reporting.

• Assist in tag control and other physical inventory duties.

• Assist with Month-End Close process and Year-End audits.

• Use Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Lotus Notes or similar application software. Experience with JD Edwards and Crystal Reports is preferred. Requirements • Must have a minimum of 3 years of experience as a Full Charge Bookkeeper

• Proficiency in using JD Edwards EnterpriseOne software

• Demonstrated ability to manage all facets of bookkeeping

• Excellent organizational and time management skills

• Ability to work independently and take initiative in managing various bookkeeping tasks

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information

• Proven record of accuracy and attention to detail

• Advanced skills in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel

• Must possess a solid understanding of accounting and financial principles

• Experience with payroll and tax preparation is essential

• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment

• Must have a high level of integrity and dependability

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is preferred

• Professional certification as a Certified Bookkeeper (CB) is a plus.
