Breckenridge High School is looking for a motivated individual to join our customer service team in the role ofAdministrative Assistant to the Superintendent and Board of Education. Other necessary qualities for this position include a passion for serving people, outstanding communication skills, and the ability to prioritize and problem solve independently.

Administrative Support to Superintendent

  • Prepare and compose various written communications
    • Letters, board agendas and board meeting packets
  • Arrange/assist with functions
    • Back to school, year-end recognition, various meetings
    • Create and write correspondence for communication and marketing

Administrative Support to Board of Education

  • Prepare and disseminate school board agendas
  • Attend school board meetings and record official minutes of actions taken
  • Write minutes and summary and publish
  • Complete follow-up correspondence in relation to board actions
  • Maintain official minute book and permanent board records
  • School Policies
    • Maintain and update official school policy book and website
    • Ensure Crisis Go updates are reflected in school policies and app is updated
  • Coordinates election process
    • Prepares documents for board action
    • Prepares required notices, postings, publishing and mailings
    • Completes follow-up correspondence, resolutions and records retention

Responsibilities:

  • Establish and maintain a positive team atmosphere in office interactions with the students, staff, and community
  • Provide customer service with staff, students, parents/guardians, colleagues and community members
  • Serveas a central point of information through phone calls, email, and direct communication
  • Possess ability to work in a positive, fast-paced and multitasking environment
  • Should be comfortable with technology and social media
  • Should be comfortable scheduling, multitasking and working with computers
  • Work with Superintendentonorganizing and scheduling

Position Requirements: - Outstanding in customer service, teamwork and communication - Must be very detailoriented in daily work - Ability to work with computer systems (Synergy, Rschool,Schoolpay) - Ability to schedule and multi-task - Ability to communicate with others in the school district - Work as a team and be a team member - Adaptable and flexible towards the needs of students, parents, community members and staff

Availability: August 1- June 30; plus five days in July 11month position 7:15 am-3:30 pm (7.75 Hours per day during school year) 7:00 am - 1:00 pm (6 Hours per day - Summer hours)

Compensation:

Per MSEA master agreement, salary schedule B23, andbased on qualifications. This contract is currently under negotiations. A new agreement will not be posted until a settlement is reached and approved by all parties. This is located on the district website under Employment Opportunities > Master Agreements.
