STRATEGIC FEASIBILITY MANAGER

The Position

We are looking for an experienced Clinical Research professional to take on the role of Strategic Feasibility Manager in our UK and Ireland Clinical Development & Operations department. You will lead the country and site level clinical trial strategic feasibility assessment process within the UK and Ireland, identifying and building early engagement with external experts, centres of excellence and patient organisations to improve trial feasibility, start-up and recruitment activities.

Tasks & Responsibilities

· Working in full compliance with ICH-GCP, company processes, local Regulations and Codes of Conduct, lead country feasibility assessments and regional input

· Collect, report and share meaningful insights such as therapeutic area treatment landscapes, patient care pathways, guidelines and external expert feedback on trial designs

· Utilise digital tools, patient registries and secure data environments to support feasibility assessments, including generating database outputs and predictive analytics

· Support trial management topics and cross-functional collaboration across Medicine and the local Franchise teams

· Collaborate with Patient Engagement team to build relationships with Patient Organisations

· Identify gaps in local therapeutic area expertise and create and execute strategic plans to close the gaps

· Work with relevant Government and Industry organisations to collect, report and share strategic insights

· Review and coordinate local Boehringer Ingelheim assessment of new or updated clinical research guidelines

· Partner with CTMs to support optimal site selection, trial start up and delivery and the implementation of patient and site engagement strategies

Requirements

· Degree in a suitable scientific discipline

· Strong clinical trial experience with good interpersonal skills, able to interact with and engage and influence a range of internal and external stakeholders

· Experience in therapeutic areas relevant to the Boehringer Ingelheim pipeline is desirable

· Understanding of local regulations and rules for engaging with patients and healthcare professionals

· Familiarity with guidelines and standard of care is desirable

· Experienced in working with clinical research organisations and patient organisations is desirable

· Able to work independently and proactively managing a busy and varied workload with possible conflicting and changing deadlines, able to respond quickly and positively to changes with a flexible can-do attitude

· Able to seek out and apply knowledge to new situations aware of the business impact, whilst being able to identify when additional support or input is needed

· Excellent written communication with a strong attention to detail
