Medical, dental vision, 401k and many other benefits are available without a waiting period. Summary: Initiates the design, development, execution and implementation of technology research projects. Applies engineering principles of fluid dynamics, gas dynamics, heat transfer, and aerodynamics to the solution of engineering problems. Conducts engineering analysis relating to sizing of gas generation systems requiring application of standard engineering principles. Prepares technical information for design reviews, customer meetings, and reports. Major Position Responsibilities Conducts research, design, and development activities with the goal of developing new or improved products, processes, or services Collaborates with internal manufacturing partners, contract manufacturers, designers and product specialists to optimize designs for manufacturability Applies research theories, principles, and models when conducting experiments and research activities Conducts market research, tracks projects, builds spreadsheets evaluating trade space, designs presentation slides, and executes business-oriented tasks Summarizes research results and communicates findings to internal and external bodies Assesses the scope of research projects and ensures projects are on time and within budget Develops technical documentation for all projects Utilizes CAD (Computer Aided Design) or CAE (Computer Aided Engineering) systems to model new designs and produce detailed engineering drawings Basic Qualifications Required Qualifications: Associate's Degree in general Engineering or specialized Engineering 3-5 years experience in an engineering function Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in general Engineering or specialized Engineering Experienced with data processing using scripting languages such as MATLAB or Python Experience with commercially available computational fluid dynamics software such as STAR-CCM+, Fluent, or CFD++ to model a variety of engineering applications Experience with wind tunnel testing Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Clear understanding of engineering fundamentals in the areas of statics, dynamics, fluid mechanics, gas dynamics, aerodynamics, and thermal analysis Independently evaluate, select, and applie standard engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria, using judgment in making minor adaptations and modifications for the solution to specific engineering problems Clear understanding of basic project management principles Ability to translate general customer requirements into products, specific requirements and program elements Strong team collaboration and leadership, capability to lead a technical team, provide direction to subcontractors, and collaborate with management Strong technical writing skill and disciplined approach to documentation and presentations Strong computer skills, administrative data control,
