Job Description:

At CodaMetrix, the Business Analyst team reports to the Director of Optimization as an essential part of the Customer Success and Automation group.  This team is responsible for the continued improvement of customer automation and eligibility rates during client Implementations and Optimization projects. As a key resource on this team, the Business Analyst II/III is responsible for supporting client implementations and optimizations of the CodaMetrix software solution and resulting workflow by mining our data ecosystems for key insights. Leveraging a rich stream of data from our customers and cutting-edge technologies, this role will raise new questions on customer workflow, identify important findings in the data and consider future optimization avenues for our team. 

The Business Analyst II/III will work both independently and collaboratively to monitor existing processes and conduct analyses that inform our customer of data-first answers to their business, technical and research questions.  There will be a strong focus on optimizing both overall company results, as well as individual client results in regard to data eligibility, quality and automation.

Responsibilities: 

  • Work in both the macro and micro aspects of problem solving with data.

  • Filter and “clean” data by reviewing reports, data files and performance indicators to expose and plan corrections to code or data problems.

  • Pro-active evaluation of client performance to identify opportunities or production support issues.

  • Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in large, complex data sets.

  • Prepare clear, insightful, and actionable recommendations on findings from analyses within the short implementation timelines.

  • Assist with qualitative and quantitative research projects and analysis (prototype testing, leaderboard ranking, production analytics).

  • Develop, test and implement application rules to ensure quality code sets as well as improve automation for new and existing clients.

  • Work with the Implementation team to ensure customer quality and workflow requirements are addressed.

  • Documentation of the analysis and recommendations for new implementations and optimization opportunities for existing clients. 

  • Provide data analytic support to the Machine Learning and Product teams. (If ML or Product teams have questions about customers or working on research project, Data analyst can assist in pulling data and doing the analysis)

  • Support the Coding Quality team with requested reporting for quality initiatives, implementation and optimization CQA projects.

    Requirements  

  • At least 3 years of experience with a strong focus on analytics or statistics

  • Strong experience with Excel

  • Experience with medical coding and/or healthcare billing

  • Solid experience with data management, exploration, and communication

  • Skilled at using and communicating with data to support recommendations

  • Eager and able to learn new statistical languages and software as needed

  • Detail oriented, committed to excellence and precision

  • Outstanding written and oral communication skills

  • Intellectual curiosity and creativity coexisting alongside critical thinking

  • Ability to work efficiently under time pressure in a fast-paced environment

  • Positive and patient team player
