Job Title: Maintenance Technician

Job Description

This position is for a Maintenance Technician in a food manufacturing company where the position will support the facility and warehouse. The successful candidate will have an entrepreneurial spirit, be highly organized, detail-oriented, and thrive in a culture of teamwork and collaboration.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot PLC control systems and electrical components up to 480 V 3 phase equipment.

  • Maintain and repair pumps, motors, conveyors, and production equipment including mixers, mills, chillers, blowers, and packaging equipment.

  • Perform preventative maintenance tasks including cleaning, lubrication, adjustments, visual inspections, minor repairs, and calibrations necessary to maintain equipment, machinery, instruments, testing equipment, wiring, and associated hardware at required specifications.

  • Read and interpret equipment manuals to perform required maintenance and service.

  • Diagnose problems, repair or replace parts, test and make adjustments as needed.

  • Work closely with process and packaging operators to eliminate downtime.

  • Create and complete Work Orders in the Computer Maintenance Monitoring System (CMMS).

  • Assist in maintaining accurate parts inventory and organization.

  • Fabricate parts as needed.

Essential Skills

  • 5 or more years of experience in a manufacturing maintenance environment with strengths in industrial electrical.

  • Personal tools and a multimeter.

  • Experience reading technical drawings and schematics.

  • Knowledge and practical application experience in electrical/electronics, PLCs, A/C, and D/C motors, drives, and controls.

  • Knowledge of the National Electric Code.
