Description

First Choice Home Healthis seeking aLicensed Physical Therapy Assistantto join our team on afull-time, part-time, or PRN/per diem basis.The successful candidate will work under the supervision of a Licensed Physical Therapist to provide comprehensive physical therapy services to our patients currently enrolled in ourhome healthservices in theBoise, ID and surrounding areas!

Requirements

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in evaluating patients' physical and functional abilities under the supervision of a Licensed Physical Therapist.

  • Implement and modify physical therapy treatment programs based on patients' individualized care plans.

  • Provide hands-on therapy, exercises, and techniques to help patients improve mobility, relieve pain, and achieve their rehabilitation goals.

  • Educate patients and their families on therapeutic exercises, proper body mechanics, and injury prevention techniques.

  • Participate in the coordination of care with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure holistic patient care.

  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient progress, treatment interventions, and communication with the supervising Physical Therapist.

  • Adhere to therapy practice acts and regulatory agency guidelines in the delivery of physical therapy services.

Requirements:

  • Graduate of an accredited school of Physical Therapy Assistant with an Associate Degree in Physical Therapy.

  • Current State License or a multi-state license issued by a state member of the Physical Therapist Licensure Compact (PTLC), if practicing in a state member of the PTLC.

  • Minimum of one year experience as a Physical Therapy Assistant, preferred.

  • Proficient therapy skills as outlined in the Therapy Practice Act and regulatory agencies.

  • Good interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.

  • Proof of current CPR certification.

  • Reliable transportation, current driver's license, and valid auto liability insurance.

  • Ability to work a flexible schedule and travel locally as needed.

  • Ability to perform physical tasks associated with patient care, including heavy lifting, bending, pulling, pushing, and standing for prolonged periods.
