Data Enablement Analyst

Aon Re Analytics is redefining how we are using data to make better decisions and to empower our clients and internal partners across the corporation. Enabling this transformation requires the creation, management, sharing and consumption of credible data to generate business value delivery from data assets.

We’re looking for a Data Enablement Analyst to play a significant thought leadership and hands on role in enabling Aon Re’s data strategy, driving efficiency and value generation in the data value chain and to support the data-driven culture and decision-making across the organization. The role will work with various teams to communicate data solutions and insights identify improvement opportunities in the end-to-end processes and implement a best-in-class data supply chain. The role will be embedded in all stages of the process from identifying areas for efficiency gains, to collecting and analyzing data, to assisting in the design, implementation, and maintenance of data solutions, data product, and strategy, as well as finally communicating solutions across various teams. You will be presented with significant intellectual and technical challenges and provide enormous opportunity for business impact.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with business units, data owners, and IT teams to understand data needs and requirements and complete data enablement strategies and roadmaps that align with organizational goals and priorities.

  • Collaborate with broader Aon teams to build and maintain data dictionaries, data models, data pipelines, and data quality frameworks within Reinsurance Solutions that follow Aon standard methodologies.

  • Evangelize the organizations data strategy and codify the value impact of the organizations data products and solutions.

  • Provide data analysis, visualization, and reporting to support data-driven decision making and storytelling to analytics product teams that align with our transformative initiatives.

  • Provide data training, coaching, and guidance to data users and data champions across the organization to generate extreme client value.

  • Research and evaluate new data technologies, data methodologies, and standard processes to enhance data capabilities and value.

  • Effectively communicate between business collaborators and IT to bridge the knowledge gap; expertise in presenting complicated technical problems / solutions to leadership and non-technical team members

    Projects and Milestones

    As a Data Enablement Analyst within the Aon Reinsurance Solutions analytics 2team, you will be involved in various projects that aim to improve data availability, quality, and usability for our clients and our colleagues.

    Qualifications

    The ideal candidate for the data enablement analyst role should have the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in data science, computer science, statistics, or related analytics and data focused field. Master’s degree or higher preferred.

  • At least 5 years of experience in data analysis, data engineering, or data management.

  • Advanced understanding of SQL and Python, and familiar with data tools and platforms such as Databricks, Tableau, Power BI, Azure, AWS, and Snowflake.

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

  • Strong time-management, ability to prioritize competing projects or unrelated work streams.

  • Passionate about data and data culture.

    Pay Transparency Laws:

    The salary range for this position is $90,000 to $150,000 annually. The actual salary will vary based on applicant’s education, experience, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. The salary may also be adjusted to reflect applicant’s geographic location.
