Saint Dominic's Family Services Residence Counselor in Blauvelt, New York
SIGN-ON BONUS $4,500 FOR FULL TIME HIRESThe Residence Counselor works in a residential group home providing counseling, guidance, and daily living assistance to mental health recipients.JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:The Residence Counselor is responsible for the supervision of individuals in a community residence program serving Mentally Ill and/or Mentally Ill and Mentally Challenged individuals. They will also be responsible for the safety of the individuals, cleanliness of the residence, as well as providing and documenting restorative services based on accurate and consistent treatment plans which are reviewed quarterly, as well as attend all staff development training and conduct required bed checks based on residence needs or as needed. Sleeping on the job is prohibited.EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:High School diploma or GED required. Experience in a residence dealing with Mentally ill and/or Mentally Challenged individuals preferred, not required.
