Marjorie Mccune Memorial Ctr Bookkeeper in Black Mountain, North Carolina

We are searching for a qualified and motivated bookkeeper to join our assisted living community. Our mission is to meet the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of our residents with independence, freedom of choice, and dignity in a home like environment.You will be responsible for assisting the Administrator in managing the Marjorie McCune Memorial Community following State rules and regulations as well as implementation of the company policies and procedures. You will assist the Administrator in maintaining the record keeping for the facility as well as the rental properties owned by the WNC Lions, Inc. on the Black Mountain Facility property.

Responsibilities include but not limited to: Maintain appropriate records for Accounts payable and pay all invoices within 30 days, maintain appropriate records for Accounts Receivable for both the facility and the rental apartments, maintain facility files, maintain the checkbook balances, submit sales tax claim for refund bi-annually, collect and mail all information requested by the accountant, complete any documents pertaining to Social Security benefits, VA benefits, or medicaid benefits for the residents, assist in preparing monthly medicaid report, prepare all quarterly payroll reports, prepare and perform bi-weekly payroll, prepare and distribute W-2 and 1099 forms each year, and reconciling QuickBooks and bank accounts.
