TEKsystems is working with one of our partners that is in current need of a Access Control Tech for their Birmingham Alabama Market.

This person will be handling the installation and service of access control devices in the area along with the installation and service of there CCTV, alarm, control panels, card readers.

Their version of an ideal candidate will have at least two years of previous service, installation and/or project management experience in the commercial electronic security industry, including: Access Control, Video Surveillance, Intercom, and Intrusion Systems.

Responsibilities:

• Programming access control, CCTV, and parking control systems

• Installing and/or troubleshooting field equipment (card readers, cameras, burglar alarms, control panels, etc.)

• Project planning

• Directing and managing onsite subcontractors

• Complete projects within budgeted costs and time schedules

• Fully test systems (quality assurance) and gain final project acceptance by the customer

• Complete end-user training maximize customer satisfaction

• Perform all duties in a safe, professional, and courteous manner

• Solid understanding of computer software fundamentals, electronic hardware, low voltage system wiring, and relays / relay logic

• Team player with a positive, "can do" attitude and the ability to coordinate the efforts of others.

• Strong analytical skills necessary to solve complex problems.

• Proficient with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, & Word.
