United Health Services Recreational Therapist in Binghamton, New York
Recreational Therapist, UHS Binghamton General Hospital United Health Services is seeking a Recreational Therapist to join our Alcohol Rehab M4 department at UHS Binghamton General Hospital in Binghamton, NY. This position is benefits eligible.

Salary range:
$21.80 - $32.60 per hour, depending on experience.
Overview
Oversees the provision and plans objectives for therapeutic activities for patients. These group sessions are to stimulate behavioral change and to process effectively. Under general supervision manages a caseload of up to 6 patients. For each assigned patient, completes assessments, problem lists, treatment plans, treatment plan reviews, progress notes, discharge plans and discharge summaries. Has a Qualified Health Professional co-sign the appropriate paperwork. Actively participates in up to four times a week staffings, bi-weekly supervison, completed treatment plans and treatment plan reviews for staff discussion and approval.
Qualifications
Education/Experience
Minimum Required:
- Associate’s degree in Recreational Therapy or related field
Preferred:
- 2 years’ experience working in a chemical dependency setting.
License/Certification
Minimum Required:
- Certified Therapeutic Recreational Therapist within 6 months of hire
