Behavioral Health Professional Level 2 - Children and Family Treatment and Support Services OLP- Other Licensed Practitioner <P> Education/Experience <LI> A non-physician licensed behavioral health practitioner NP-LBHP authorized under OLP is a licensed clinician operating within scope of practice in accordance with the New York State Education Department Office of the Professions include the following: <LI> Licensed Psychoanalysts <LI> Licensed Clinical Social Workers <LI> Licensed Marriage and Family Therapists <LI> Licensed Mental Health Counselors <LI> Licensed Masters Social Workers when under the supervision of licensed clinical social workers (LCSWs), licensed psychologists, or psychiatrists <LI> Licensed Creative Arts Therapist <P> Skills <LI> Knowledge of mental illness diagnosis <LI> Ability to work with children and families <LI> Ability to work within a multidisciplinary team <LI> Good organizational and time management skills <LI> Good oral/written communication skills <LI> Good interpersonal skills <LI> Knowledge of community agencies and resources <LI> Ability to work with service providers <LI> Familiar with computer programs (e.g. Word, Excel) <LI> The ability to climb stairs, bend, stoop, sit, stand, reach and lift items weighing 40 lbs. <LI> Ability to legally operate a vehicle in NY State <P> Hours - <LI> Monday - Friday set your own schedule. <P> MAJOR FUNCTIONS: <P> OLP provides individual, group, or family therapy in the home, in the community or other site-based setting when appropriate for a child/youth who has or may be at risk of a mental health or substance use diagnosis. <P> There are 6 components to this position: <LI> Complete Licensed Evaluations (assessment) <LI> Treatment Planning <LI> Psychotherapy Crisis Intervention Activities that include: <LI> Crisis Triage (By telephone) <LI> Crisis Off-Site (In-person) <LI> Crisis Complex Care (follow up) <P> Additional functions: <LI> Identify individual client needs and make referrals to additional community services based on ongoing assessments <LI> Help prevent the progression of exhibited behavioral health needs through early identification and intervention <LI> Develop a therapeutic relationship with child and family <LI> Utilize software technology pertinent to program <LI> Maintain required documentation and deadlines <LI> Ensure that a person centered planning process is utilized in delivery of services <LI> Ensure that individual rights are protected and advocate for individual <LI> Participate in and successfully complete all required training <LI> Represent the agency and program in the community <LI> Perform other job related activities as directed by supervisor <LI> Understand and follow all program policies and procedures <LI> In compliance with all applicable government laws, rules, regulations and standards and all Catholic Charities Policies and Procedures the duties and responsibilities of this position include but are not limited to the above. <LI> Catholic Charities of Broome County is an equal opportunity employer.
