Description We are offering a role in the accounting industry, specifically for a Senior Accountant, located in Bingham Farms, Michigan. This role is primarily responsible for providing timely financial information to management by researching and analyzing accounting data, preparing reports, and financial statements. This is a contract role, requiring skills in Account Reconciliation, Balance Sheet Reconciliation, Bank Reconciliations, General Ledger, Journal Entries, Microsoft Excel, Month End Close, NetSuite, Oracle, and SAP.

Responsibilities:

• Analyze and prepare journal entries in compliance with GAAP

• Manage fixed asset ledger, prepaid expense allocations, and depreciation schedules

• Prepare and oversee corporate expense allocations

• Prepare bank reconciliations for multiple companies and monitor positive pay data for fraud detection

• Prepare financial statements and supporting schedules for multiple companies

• Analyze monthly financial statements and report on variances

• Assist in providing budget and forecasting information

• Maintain internal controls by preparing and recommending policies and procedures

• Assist with financial and tax audits including the preparation of schedules

• Collect, interpret, and summarize data from multiple sources to aid management in achieving organizational goals

• Conduct data integrity and quality checks

• Manage accounts receivables, create invoices, post payments, and mail statements

• Account for new shareholder onboarding transactions and document efforts in CRM

• Research customer account inquiries and maintain shareholder tracking database

• Update expense reimbursement software and train new users

• Provide backup support for accounts payable. Requirements • Proven experience as a Sr. Accountant or similar role in the finance industry

• Comprehensive knowledge of accounting principles and procedures

• Proficiency in Account Reconciliation, Balance Sheet Reconciliation, and Bank Reconciliations

• Experience with General Ledger management and Journal Entries preparation

• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel for financial analysis and reporting

• Experience with Month End Close procedures and reporting

• Familiarity with NetSuite, Oracle, and SAP accounting software

• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail

• Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy

• Excellent communication skills for interacting with various departments and stakeholders

• A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field

• Relevant professional certification (e.g., CPA, CMA) is a plus

• Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information

• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously

• A high level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation.
