TWEnterprises Technical Inside Sales Specialist in Billings, Montana

Position Overview:The Power Generation Technical Inside Sales Specialist is responsible for delivering new business opportunities in support of engineers, contractors and end users in TWE/HM Cragg's selling territory. The key areas of focus for this role is to create value by differentiating our products and services, as well as TWE's organizational support, from competitors; positively influence specifications to create advantage on bids; and develop competitive proposals to win business. Knowledge of generators, power distribution equipment, and transfer switches, and a keen technical and commercial aptitude are required. To be successful in this role, you must possess excellent planning and time management skills with the ability to proactively schedule time in and out-of-office.Reporting Relationship: The Technical Inside Sales Specialist reports to the Senior Territory Sales Manager, TWE.Responsibilities/Accountabilities:· Assist the technical sales team with administrative tasks such as preparing sales quotes, proposals, and sales contracts. Coordinate and manage the sales pipeline, ensuring timely follow-ups and maintaining accurate sales records.· Possess a solid understanding of the products and services offered by the company to effectively address customer inquiries and provide technical support to the sales team.· Prepare and analyze sales reports pertaining to open/pending quote opportunities, sales performance metrics, and other relevant data to provide insights and support decision-making.· Assist in organizing and conducting product training sessions for the sales team, enabling them to effectively present and promote products to customers.· Gather market intelligence, including competitor analysis, customer feedback, and industry trends, to support the development of effective sales strategies.· Sales Event Coordination: Assist in planning and organizing sales events, trade shows, and conferences to showcase products and generate leads.· Contribute ideas and insights to help improve the sales process, optimize sales strategies, and drive revenue growth.· Read plans and specifications to assist in properly configuring and pricing generator systems.· Prepare submittal and drawing packages in support of proposed equipment and services.· Use manufacturer educational seminar programs, customer-factory fly-ins, webinars, conferences/tradeshows, and other resources to improve brand awareness of Generac and create affinity for the products among potential buyers.· Assist the service group as needed to troubleshoot product and service-related issues by being the bridge between customers and manufacturers for warranty claims management.· Collaborate with technical support and service teams to diagnose product issues and determine if they fall under warranty coverage. Provide troubleshooting guidance to technicians and assist them in resolving service issues.· Participate in weekly team meetings with strong emphasis on proactive communication, informing of any important developments with vendors or customers.· Create monthly and quarterly business objectives, annual sales, and marketing plans- report out status and achievement on weekly, monthly, and annual basis- maintain updated travel schedule and calendar, scorecard of sales achievement, log of open/active quotation.· Efficiently utilize all available vendor mandated IT resources and applications used for lead management, configuration, pricing, and documentation library- Sales Force, genConnect (Generac), construction bid boards.· Maintain excellent records, manage receipts, and expense reports- submit monthly.· Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.· Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.Requirements:Skills/Knowledge· Extensive knowledge of and familiarity with complementary and competitive products· Extensive computer skills with experience in using Microsoft Outlook and Office products including Outlook, Excel, Power Point, Word, Teams, CRM, sales and project management software e.g. Tiger Paw· Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with customers and internal teams.· Technical aptitude and the ability to understand and communicate technical concepts effectively.· Customer-focused mindset with a commitment to delivering exceptional service.· Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in managing sales-related data and documentation.Personal Attributes· Knowledge of key customers and markets for generators; to include data centers, utility, telecom, hospitals and medical facilities, nursing homes, schools, and retail; and their hardware needs and buying behavior.· Strong prospecting skills and ability to break through potential customer rejections· Desired knowledge of multiple types of Industrial Generators and familiarity with complementary and competitive products· Excellent written, verbal and presentation skillsEducation and Experience:· 4-year college degree or 2 year technical degree with minimum 5 years sales experience in a technical role.· Proven experience in a sales support or coordination role, preferably in a technical or technology-related industry.Travel expectations:· Some travel and time out of the office may be required.
