Position Summary...

What you'll do...

The Senior Manager - Wastewater Compliance Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) is responsible for mitigating risk and enabling regulatory compliance for wastewater and drinking water systems at Walmart facilities across the United States. This position will respond to regulatory agency contacts and coordinate with internal partners, external consultants, and vendors to support proper permitting and compliant operation of our facilities. The Senior Manager will work within a team setting to support implementation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of the wastewater program at Walmart. Reporting into the Director of Environmental Compliance, this role will partner with many different departments including Facility Services, Compliance, Real Estate, Corporate Affairs, Emergency Operations, Sustainability, Legal, and Finance teams to mitigate risk and enable the business. The Senior Manager will develop and implement strategies to meet regulatory requirements and build effective and efficient processes for program improvement and contract execution to support our facilities and corporate initiatives.

What you'll do:

• Build strategic relationships - Represent the company with federal, state, and local regulatory agencies and external organizations.

• Ensure compliance - Supports the company mission, values, and standards of ethics and integrity through implementation of compliance initiatives.

• Leverage tools and data -Utilize data to assess program effectiveness, identify trends and potential issues, and respond timely to resolve issues.

• Operate with excellence - Set an example in managing KPIs, delivering excellence, presenting at all levels, and developing yourself and others.

What you'll bring:

• You are highly motivated, and customer focused.

• 5 or more years' experience in environmental compliance program design, wastewater permitting, or wastewater services operation and maintenance.

• Proven success collaborating across a matrix organization to get things done.

• Demonstrated your ability to be a cross-functional team player who can make decisions firmly and objectively.

• Strong communication skills and experience with senior leadership and stakeholders.

• You are organized, disciplined, and can manage multiple projects simultaneously.

• A master at making complex subjects easily understood.

This position will be based out of the home office in Bentonville, AR. There is not a remote work option.

The annual salary range for this position is $90,000.00-$180,000.00

Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.

Minimum Qualifications...

Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Business, Human Resources, or related field and 4 years' experience in compliance, ethics, legal, project management, or related area OR 6 years' experience in compliance, ethics, legal, project management, or related area. 2 years' supervisory experience. 3 years' experience using intermediate functionality of Microsoft Office.
