Walmart Senior Manager, Compliance and Ethics Operations-HIPAA Privacy in Bentonville, Arkansas

Position Summary...

What you'll do...

As the Senior Manager, Compliance and Ethics Operations, HIPAA Privacy , you will be responsible for oversight of the development, implementation, and maintenance of the privacy compliance program for Walmart's healthcare initiatives. You will be responsible for supporting the growth of the Digital Citizenship HIPAA Privacy program by responding to privacy and compliance questions and issues; identifying, reporting, and addressing compliance gaps and concerns ; establishing effective controls and compliance oversight related to those risks, and collaborating with other functional areas on various compliance initiatives as needed.

Based in Bentonville, AR-no remote or hybrid exceptions.

You'll make an impact by:

  • Serving as a subject matter expert on healthcare privacy regulations, policies, and best practices.

  • Coordinating efforts to understand emerging risks and developing guidance and processes with relevant stakeholders to address identified risks.

  • Ensuring the development and implementation of a robust HIPAA Privacy program, with a focus on policies, procedures, identification of risks, and implementation of controls.

  • Guiding business stakeholders to ensure best practices are pursued and consistently implemented.

  • Collaborating with operations, legal, compliance, security, and other relevant teams to develop relationships, establish effective and consistent communications, and ensure continued improvement of the HIPAA Privacy program.

  • Developing resources and awareness content to further compliance with the HIPAA Privacy program.

  • Driving improvement and change through expertise and influence.

  • Cultivating an environment where associates respect and adhere to company standards of integrity and ethics.

  • You have expertise in compliance concepts, with specific experience managing healthcare privacy regulations, advising business stakeholders, and working within a complex legal structure.

  • You have experience working in cross-functional teams within a corporate environment and establishing collaborative relationships with business, legal, and compliance partners.

  • You're organized, disciplined, and can manage multiple projects simultaneously.

  • You are a problem-solver, able to troubleshoot issues independently or escalate when necessary.

  • You demonstrate a sense of accountability, bias for action, and sound professional judgment.

  • You are someone who builds trust and credibility and inspires associates across the business.

  • You have the ability to translate business challenges into actionable solutions in a highly complex, rapidly evolving environment.

  • You demonstrate curiosity and critical thinking skills as you navigate novel issues and questions directly or indirectly impacting the HIPAA Privacy program.

The annual salary range for this position is $90,000.00-$180,000.00

Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.

Bachelor's degree in Business, Journalism, Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or related field and 4 years' experience in human resources, ethics and compliance, corporate communications, or related area OR 6 years' experience in human resources, ethics and compliance, corporate communications, or related area.
