Position Summary...

What you'll do...

The Ecommerce Search Director works with product and engineering to prioritize the Sam's Club online search experience. By leading a team of Tech partners, you will help us understand the biggest customer pain points, size the potential impact and partner to create solutions. You will report to the Senior Director, Merchandising Operations.

Location: Bentonville, Arkansas is the preferred location for this role, with a relocation package available for suitable candidates. However, San Bruno, California can be considered as an alternative location for candidates already residing in the area.

What you'll do:

• Establishes strategies to enhance the visibility of Samsclub.com and the Sam's Club App in search results.

• Use search as a significant source of digital traffic and a supplement to other marketing channels.

• Lead search and discovery site activities, including strategy creation, product design, roadmap development, and collaboration with product/engineering and design teams.

• Direct the activation strategy for all site products, identify experience needs, and engage with site and app platform product team.

• Guide the creation of site measurements, create performance tracking techniques, and share information with other partners and teams to enhance the consumer experience.

• Monitor the health of search navigation experience and performance metrics for search and discovery, using metrics to achieve business growth.

• Develop strategies to deliver performance insights and guidance on best practice measurement methodologies for search and discovery performance analytics.

• Promote a modernized, tech-proficient continuous improvement culture and practice to improve operational effectiveness and efficiencies.

• Collaborate with partners to develop and implement procedures aimed at optimizing operational performance across all eCommerce activities.

• Advocate for strategic programs and create insightful and applicable business cases.

What you'll bring:

• 5 years of experience in Retail / eCommerce Search

• Can dive deep into search including algorithms and technical details

• Experience with app integration

San Bruno, California US-08848:The annual salary range for this position is $143,000.00-$286,000.00

Bentonville, Arkansas US-09930:The annual salary range for this position is $110,000.00-$220,000.00

Minimum Qualifications...

Option 2: 7 years' experience in eCommerce merchandising, site operations, business management, or related area.
