You will focus on the architecture of logistic digital product which is supporting external customers. You will team up with various GEHC groups with digital capabilities to pursue and deliver: digital outcomes for our internal customers along with solutions that will bring our GEHC Enterprise IT vision and strategy to life.

In this role, you will be leading Architecture of GSA & other logistics products to deliver best-in-class solution using internal and external resources in the Logistics IT space, as well as ensuring consistency and future alignment with organization objectives.

You will be the technical architect for key digital stakeholders, including key internal customer contacts, Product Managers, Technical Consultants and IT support to drive the timely and successful delivery of the final solution.

This role will be partnering up with GSA Product Manager, Logistics Functional users and broader IT technical teams.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Lead the product vision and migration efforts for GSA & other logistics IT products with enterprise wide coverage.

  • Create a robust architecture focusing on Cloud first approach.

  • Demonstrates technical acumen, knows latest industry trends and is looked at as an internal expert on the technology.

  • Interacts with customers/stakeholders along with product managers to design a product which is loved by customers.

  • Works with cross-functional teams to deliver features and significant products.

  • Possesses a deep understanding of the product technology stack (custom components with lot of data endpoints) and impact on final products.

  • Demonstrate superior persuasion and influencing skills that ensure alignment between customer, product manager and engineering teams.

  • Owns the complete architecture of GSA and Custom applications

  • Owns and manages the multiple product backlog; continuously orders and prioritizes to ensure the delivery commitments.

  • Prioritizes continuously in accordance with the understanding and validation of customer problems and needs.

  • Demonstrates strategic level skills in problem decomposition and ability to navigate through ambiguity.

  • Engages frequently (50% of the time) with the development team; facilitates discussions, provides clarification, story acceptance and refinement, testing and validation; contributes to design activities and decisions.

  • Develop continuous improvement and continuous development pipelines.

  • Partners with Product Leadership to ensure healthy design process.

  • Will be working on multiple IT products with ability to efficiently switch & multitask.

  • Mentors junior team members.

  • Expertise in Agile & Lean Methodology.

  • Brings technical experience to deliver best in class outcomes while optimizing the expenses.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field(STEM).

  • Minimum 10 years of experience working in IT industry managing digital IT products in finance, logistics, Sourcing or supply chain techno/functional domain.

  • Minimum of 6 years of professional experience as a Senior Software Architect.

  • Proficiency and in-depth technical expertise in Architecture frameworks.

  • Hands on expertise with custom code development on AWS cloud platforms.

  • Hand on expertise in managing large scale complex systems with data driven architecture.

  • Demonstrate utilization of industry wide accepted Decision Making, Problem Solving, Prioritization and Innovation frameworks.

  • Deep understanding of best in class software security practices, Agile software development methodologies, Testing Frameworks to optimize performance and keeping abreast of emerging technologies.

  • Ability to mentor younger team members and develop their skills.

  • Experience working on multiple concurrent projects.

  • Excellent problem-solving skills.

  • Be independent and self-driven.

  • Familiarity with software development standard methodologies

  • Strong oral and written communication skills in English

  • Willing to travel domestically and internationally

Additionally preferred Skills

  • Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field(STEM)

  • Certification in Cloud Technologies.

  • Data Analytics, Integration and cloud technology exposures

  • Leadership and team management experience with ability to provide strategic planning and oversight

  • Utilization of AI (or other emerging tech trends) in revitalizing the product would be great quality to have.

  • Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs

  • Aggregation of disparate data among multiple systems

  • Proven ability to work on cross-functional, multi-cultural teams

  • Track record of leadership roles delivering solutions within defined timeframes

  • Experience working with a globally distributed team and managing off-shore teams
