The BT Lab’s Core Network team are seeking an Engineering Professional to provide architecture, implementation, and operational support for ongoing projects, research activities.

This is built on an ethos of continuous improvement; empowering the whole team to be actively engaged in improving our processes and our performance.

What you’ll be doing

• Expertise on Packet Core Networks - WMG, MME, SGW, PGW, DNS systems.

• Lead technical discussions and investigations across Mobile Core Networks.

• Experienced with 5+ years’ across e2e Mobile Networks & delivering Projects.

• Promote and encourage effective automation solutions for Mobile Cloud Core.

• You will support Core Network Nodes WMG / MME / SGW / PGW / DNS and will be responsible for the operations of robust and proven test environments in the Lab.

• Familiar with CI / CD Pipeline for config deployments and drive the successful changes with the sanity checks performed.

• Drive successful troubleshooting investigations across faults raised by project test teams. Tracing network issues and investigating dataflows using network tools available (Wireshark/Netscout/CNOM/ENIQ)

• Provide support to various stakeholders in Design, Build, Network Cloud and Dynamic Infrastructure, Revenue Assurance and Customer Experience.

• Work independently, with limited day-to-day guidance from leadership

• Ensure documentation and support procedures are kept up to date.
