Exciting Opportunity for Machinist Level 3 in Beltsville, MD!

PDS Tech Commercial, Inc. is actively seeking a skilled Machinist Level 3 to join our team in Beltsville, Maryland. In this role, you will leverage your expertise to set up and operate various machine tools, such as lathes, milling machines, and grinders, to produce precise metal parts and components. If you have a keen eye for detail and possess a minimum of 5 years of experience along with a GED or High School Diploma, we encourage you to apply.

Job Type: Full time; contract (6 months )

Schedule: Onsite, 9x80 A

Location: Beltsville, MD 90705

Pay Rate: $20.00-$30.00 per hour

Due to government regulations, candidates for this position must be a US Citizen.

Job Duties:

• Sets up and operates a variety of machine tools such as lathes, milling machines, shapers, planers, and precision grinders to make metal parts, mechanisms, tools, or machines to exacting tolerances and dimensions.

• Interprets blueprints, sketches, and engineering specifications.

• Determines sequence of operations, number of cuts required, and method of setup.

• Uses a variety of machinist hand tools and precision measuring instruments.

• Makes standard shop computations relating to dimensions of work, tooling, feeds, and speeds; measures, marks, and scribes dimensions and reference points to lay out stock for machining; fits and assembles precision parts into mechanical equipment and determines material, parts, and equipment required.

• Some machines may be numerically controlled. May monitor and verify quality in accordance with statistical process or other control procedures.

Requirements:

• Must have experience reading and understanding drawings

• Minimum of 5 years experience

• GED or Highschool Diploma
