Williams Plumbing / Civil Construction Estimator - Commercial/Residential Plumbing in Belgrade, Montana

Williams is hiring an Estimator responsible for preparing and/or coordinating the preparation of full estimates on large and complex plumbing projects.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

  • Request Evaluation and Bid Preparation: Review and evaluate requests for estimates, ensuring timely completion and accuracy.

  • Document Management: Create and manage job folders, and review plumbing documents to understand the scope of work for bidding.

  • Take-Offs and Software Input: Execute take-offs of construction documents and input them into computer estimating software.

  • Pricing and Bids: Obtain pricing for materials and bids from subcontractors, including coordination and scheduling within the mechanical trade.

  • Cost Analysis: Prepare cost analysis by recapitulating material, labor, equipment, subcontractor, and overhead costs.

  • Accuracy and Standards: Ensure estimates and revisions are complete and accurate, informing the supervisor of any discrepancies.

  • Scheduling and Budgeting: Prepare baseline schedules, budgets, and subcontracts, ensuring subcontractors stay on schedule.

  • Bid Calendar: Prepare and maintain a weekly bid calendar to ensure timely completion of estimates.

    WHAT YOU BRING:

  • Five+ years of related experience, and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Degree in Construction Management, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field is a plus.

  • Valid Montana plumbers license is a plus.

  • Skills and knowledge of all facets of plumbing operations.

  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as blueprints, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

  • Write routine reports and correspondence.

  • Speak effectively before groups of customers or employees.

  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.

  • Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percentage and to draw and interpret graphs.

  • Proficient with estimating software and Microsoft Suite
