We are looking for a highly motivated Data Center Engineer to join our team. Having depth and breadth knowledge of working in data center facilities in a large-scale distributed environment is a strength you'll need. You should have deep knowledge and experience in at least one of the following core areas: Project Management, Hardware Operations, Network Operations or Data Center Operations.

What you'll be doing:

  • Act as technical liaison for our technical teams.

  • Project manage highly impactful large and small scale data center and lab projects

  • Participate in the installation, monitoring, maintenance, support, and optimization of all production server hardware.

  • Contribute to the development of the global DC knowledge base

  • Lead teams to deploy new data center infrastructure, deliver server upgrades, integration, rebuild and other projects as required

  • Build plans to optimize power, cooling and network resources

  • You are recognized for forward thinking and will support all DC teams to reduce potential risks to upcoming projects.

  • You will hunt for and resolve issues as well as analyze data looking for trends and systemic issues. Implement process improvements and develop a cutting edge operational environment.

What we need to see:

  • 7+ years of experience in large-scale data center hardware deployments, building data centers and directly lead data center relocation projects

  • BS, BA, or BEng degree in a technical field, or relevant work experience

  • Experience providing client-facing, direct customer support and service. Ability to understand internal customer problem and provide technical solution in timely manner

  • Experience with Data Center Build or Operations. Experience in vendor management and negotiations

  • Demonstrable ability to prioritize effectively, and experience with technical project management

  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively with a diverse group of customers and staff

  • Ability to work in a constantly evolving, hands-on, startup environment. Ability to make decisions and work with minimal direction

  • Demonstrable experience in developing and reviewing MOP and SOPs, to minimize our operating risks

  • Ability to drive implementation and flexibility to support other functions when needed

  • Speak English fluently. Comfortable working in a global collaborative environment

  • Deep understanding of data center power and cooling infrastructure, network, and cabling infrastructure. Knowledge pertaining to liquid cooled servers and/or its infrastructure. Knowledge in InfiniBand as well as Ethernet operations

  • Experience with Nautobot (or CMDB, DCIM), CMMS, SNOW and Inventory Management tools

  • Attention to detail with superb interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively manage multiple priorities

  • A positive attitude with a strategic outlook. Constantly look to improve the team and build strong business relationships
