The Mortgage Marketing Manager is responsible for leading, developing and implementing myCUmortgage’s strategic marketing, training and communications plans and objectives for lending operations, servicing and the CUSO as a whole, thus improving the brand awareness and competitive position with both potential and existing credit union partners to enhance the PCU and member experience, consistent with its strategic objectives and goals, and vision and mission statements.

  • Responsible for the implementation, administration and production of marketing, partner credit union training and communications. This includes for all myCUmortgage’s marketing/advertising campaigns, projects and products and/or comprehensive solutions, personally and/or through marketing and training staff or agency or contracted or guest trainers, while ensuring initiatives are creative, innovative, well-planned and organized, data-driven and are aligned with myCUmortgage’s brand strategy. Includes meeting deadlines and ensuring key metrics are consistently met. Ensure assigned business units are operating efficiently and reliably, are in compliance with applicable laws, regulations, rules, have appropriate operating controls to mitigate risk, and are performing at a high level. (35%)

  • Develops and executes on annual marketing, training and communications plans and budgets, incorporating strategies and initiatives to support the following key areas: 1) growth of new credit union partners; 2) increasing production and relationships amongst existing credit union partners; 3) developing and providing training and marketing materials for credit union partners to increase mortgage lending awareness to their members; 4) supporting loan servicing initiatives with marketing, training and communications expertise; and 5) supporting Leadership and project teams from a myCU expert, PCU and member experience perspective. (30%)

  • Directs all aspects of myCUmortgage’s brand identity, including upholding and cultivating the culture, supporting key goals by serving on and supporting the team’s involvement on inter-departmental project teams and assisting with internal and external corporate communications. (15%)

  • Builds strategic relationships and partners with internal business units, agencies and vendors. (10%)

  • Expands the capabilities and promotes development opportunities of direct reports, ensuring high performance through coaching, mentoring, training, setting goals, providing stretch goals and performance appraisal. (10%)

Required Skills

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing or Advertising or an equivalent combination of formal training and experience managing complex, fully-integrated, high-profile marketing/advertising campaigns with expertise in various marketing disciplines.

  • Knowledge of the financial services industry, especially mortgage lending, preferred.

  • At least five years of recent supervisory experience with direct responsibility for staff.

  • At least 8 years of marketing experience across multiple disciplines and channels (i.e. advertising, media, online, CRM, direct, mass) in direct-to-consumer, B2B, and data driven marketing.

  • Demonstrated ability to lead and execute projects/campaigns across multiple teams/groups, including process, and vendor management while consistently ensuring brand integrity.

  • Demonstrated ability to thrive in a dynamic environment with multiple and shifting priorities, which sometimes can be conflicting.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including superior copywriting skills.

  • Excellent organization skills and the ability to work independently and multi-task with minimal supervision, while effectively identifying, organizing and prioritizing multiple projects for themselves and a department.
