About This Role:

The enrollment marketing coordinator serves as an integral member of the the Enrollment Management marketing team. This position is responsible for developing, executing, and coordinating the strategic marketing initiatives aligned with the Office of Student Success. Lamar University is seeking a talented and motivated candidate to take creative charge of the design, development, and production of content for print and electronic communications related to enrollment and retention, including supporting the marketing activities of Student Tutoring and Retention Services ( STARS ) and the University Advising Center ( UAC ) teams. This includes identifying creative strategies and providing direction for advertising, marketing materials, and outreach campaigns. Additionally, this position will coordinate all current student communications utilizing the office’s Student Success Management System ( EAB Navigate), the Student Information System (Banner), CRM System (Slate), and other communications software platforms for analytical tracking and assessment of marketing campaigns.

What You’ll Do – Position Responsibilities

  • Creates, develops, implements, and tracks all outbound communications for

purposes of retention, enrollment, and general marketing operations for the

Office of Student Success, UAC , and STARS .

  • Collaborates with Student Success teams to ensure consistent and thoughtful

messaging across all student populations, as well as appropriate internal and

external university entities.

  • Formulates and manages communication plans for admitted and current

students throughout the re-enrollment stream.

  • Supports the creation and delivery of all Enrollment Management email

marketing campaigns, including developing copy, editing, and working across

multiple platforms to maintain contact lists and schedules.

  • Maintains weekly email performance reports.

  • Provides support in the creation of all PowerPoint presentations ensuring that all messaging is consistent and up to date.

  • Supports social media content and platforms to promote retention initiatives

working with the university’s social media manager.

  • Supports Student Success teams to ensure that all attended university events

are equipped with the necessary promotional materials.

  • Coordinates with Advising, Student Success, Registrar, and the Financial Aid

teams to maintain enrollment management websites to include the writing and

maintenance of content and webpage layout.

  • Perform other duties as assigned

  • Excellent Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Suite skills.

  • Must be able to work occasional evenings and weekends.

Physical Requirements:

  • Works in an office environment for 6 to 8 hours

  • Work is normally performed in a typical interior work environment that does not subject the employee to any unpleasant elements.

  • Regularly use desktop and/or laptop computer.

  • Occasional lifting, pushing, climbing, and pulling may be required. Work environment involves minimal exposure to physical risks.

  • Occasionally lift 10-15 pounds

Job Conditions:

  • Office environment with controlled temperature. Moderate exposure to noise.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, advertising, public relations, communication or related field.

  • Minimum one to two years of work experience in sales, marketing, communications, or related area.

Preferred Qualifications
