Education First FCU Commercial Loan Analyst in Beaumont, Texas

Role

To originate, manage, and supervise the credit union's portfolio of commercial loans, with the overall objective of maintaining and increasing its asset quality; to develop new and existing business relationships.

Major Duties and Responsibilities

  • Takes applications for commercial loan business. Perform in-depth financial analysis of credit worthiness. This includes but not limited to determining business, personal, global, and net operating income cash flows. Prepares in-depth analysis presentation reports for underwriting decisions or recommendations within approval authority along with risk rating determinations and loan pricing that align with policy and procedures. Completes annual reviews and assists the Business Loan Manager with participation ventures. Reviews all surveys and appraisals to discover any major issues before sending to the Business Loan Manager. Responsible for identifying appropriate counter offers and cross selling products per member.

  • Participates in developing lending business for the company. Calls on clients to expand existing business; calls on prospects seeking opportunities to expand the company's client base. Participates in community organizations as needed.

  • Monitors existing loan portfolio to maintain a high-quality asset base, participates in educational courses as needed and stays up-to-date on all regulatory requirements. Assist with maintaining files and ensuring quality financial documentation submitted by borrowers. Contributes to policy, procedures and best practices through observations and learnings.

  • Assists in collection of past due loans. Assist Processor when needed.

  • Assists customers with any loan-related questions and concerns.

  • Must comply with applicable laws and regulations, including but not limited to, the Bank Secrecy Act, the Patriot Act, and the Office of Foreign Assets Control.

Qualifications and Skills

Experience

Two to five years of similar or related experience, including time spent in preparatory positions. Must be proficient with standard and complex financials including but not limited to, various tax returns, personal financial statements, business financial statements, proformas and rent schedules.

Education/Certifications/Licenses

A college degree preferred, but not required.

Interpersonal Skills

The ability to motivate or influence senior level personnel, internally or externally, is a key component of the job, requiring a significant level of expertise, credibility, influence and trust. Proficiency in developing and delivering material presentations on complex topics can be important to fulfilling the responsibilities of the position. The inability to communicate at this level would disqualify the individual from being able to fulfill their job responsibilities.

Minimum Starting Wage $63,278.97 (Negotiable based on experience)
