Description We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for a Financial Project Manager based in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. This role is in the telecom industry and will involve managing financial projects, including full-cycle accounting, financial reporting, and data analysis.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and oversee full-cycle accounting operations such as month-end close, journal entries, account reconciliations, and AP/AR.

• Handle fixed asset management including depreciation schedules.

• Perform variance analysis and generate ad-hoc reports.

• Prepare and manage the budget.

• Implement and maintain internal controls, including risk assessments.

• Prepare financial statements.

• Provide tax support including sales & use, property, payroll, corporate, etc.

• Assist with audit support.

• Support compliance and implement changes in professional standards such as ASC 842 Lease Accounting, ASC 606 Revenue Recognition, etc.

• Document and improve procedures, policies, and processes.

• Handle grant management and cost accounting.

• Perform financial modeling and data visualization.

• Implement ERP Systems.

• Utilize skills in Microsoft Excel and other financial software for data analysis and visualization.

• Apply analytical skills to interpret financial data and translate it into actionable insights.

• Manage cash and treasury effectively.

• Drive business process improvement and document processes.

• Ensure internal control compliance with standards like SOX - Sarbanes-Oxley, ASC 606, ASC 740, ASC 815, ASC 842, ASC 985-605. Requirements • Must have a minimum of 5 years of experience in a related role such as Financial Project Manager

• Proficient in Journal Entries and Financial Reporting

• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and Data Visualization

• Experience in Account Reconciliation, Accounts Payable (AP), and Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Ability to prepare and analyze Consolidated Financial Statements and perform Month End Close tasks

• Proficient in Account Analysis with strong Analytical Skills

• Experience in Cash Management and Treasury Management

• Knowledge of Grant Accounting and Cost Accounting is required

• Experienced in System Implementation and Business process improvement

• Proficient in Process Documentation and establishing Internal Control

• Familiarity with SOX - Sarbanes-Oxley, ASC 606, ASC 740, ASC 815, ASC 842, and ASC 985-605
