Primary Responsibilities:
Supervises, schedules, and evaluates all clinical, licensed, and supportive pharmacy personnel as it relates to the clinical services provided, sterile compounding, inventory control and purchasing
Managerial and leadership oversight of 6-12 direct reports and pharmacy team of 40-50 employees
Directs, coordinates, and supervises all pharmacy activities including drug preparation, sterile product preparation, dispensing and clinical pharmacy services
Ensures that all pharmacy operations, practices and procedures meet all licensing and standards requirements established by local, state and federal agencies as well as accrediting bodies (e.g. TBP, ACHC, URAC)
Ensures compliance with all controlled substances related rules, regulations, company policies and maintains proper communication and coordination with other departments and staff
All aspects of Pharmacy licensure, as required by the multiple states in which the branch is licensed
Oversight including compliance to and education for all accreditation programs including, ACHC, URAC, etc.
Monitors for compliance with all HIPAA regulations, adherence to all State and Federal regulations and laws, accrediting bodies (TJC, URAC, etc.), adherence to all infusion pharmacy accepted standards of practice, responsible for handling complaints and / or grievance programs
Sterile Product Complexes (SPC/Clean Room) operation, integrity and maintenance
Oversees all IV compounding procedures to ensure appropriate technique and compliance with industry, regulatory, accreditation and company standards
Provide oversight of the safety; appropriateness, and effectiveness of the pharmaceutical care provide to patients (consumers) as it relates to specialty products dispensed
Prioritizes and coordinates work, provides leadership to and reviews the work of assigned staff
Works to optimize standardized procedures and improve efficiency of subordinates
Sets team direction, resolves problems, and provides guidance to members of own team
May oversee work activities of other supervisors
Adapts departmental plans and priorities to address business and operational challenges
Oversees, reviews and handles escalated issues
Represents the organization in multi-disciplinary workgroups for business planning and project management

Required Qualifications:
Bachelor of Pharmacy or PharmD degree
Active, unrestricted Louisiana Pharmacist License
Willing and able to obtain additional state licensure(s), if necessary
3+ years of Pharmacy leadership experience
3+ years of active pharmacist experience
Experience and ability to work with leadership, clinicians and able to develop effective working relationships with cross functional staff / departments
Solid, demonstrated working knowledge of the regulations and processes related to sterile compounding and USP 797/800 guidelines
Solid understanding of state and federal laws regulations as they pertain to pharmacy
Proficient with Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint
Preferred Qualifications:
Pharmacist licensure in the state of Arkansas
Multi-state pharmacist licensure
CPR+ pharmacy dispensing platform
Experience with home infusion services or clinical patient services
Demonstrated transformational leadership experience
Familiarity with some budgeting and reporting activities
Proven solid collaboration, interpersonal and communication skills
Demonstrated ability to work / present effectively across functions and with leadership levels
Demonstrated ability to work independently and within a team; excellent coaching / mentoring skills
