Robert Half has on open position for a detail-oriented Accounts Receivable Specialist with our client in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. As an integral part of our team, you will be overseeing various accounting tasks, including accounts payable, accounts receivables, and payroll liaison activities. Your primary function will be to maintain accurate customer credit records and resolve customer credit inquiries. This is a short-term contract to full time employment opportunity.

Responsibilities:

• Perform a variety of basic accounting tasks following standard procedures

• Reconcile bank accounts and post and balance financial data in various ledgers

• Input timesheet data and verify documents and codes

• Process payments and compile segments of monthly closings and annual reports

• Support and communicate the mission, values, and culture of the organization

• Provide information as requested to shippers, customers, and other stakeholders

• Handle collections by contacting existing clients to resolve payment issues and assist in setting up payment plans

• Utilize accounting software systems and Microsoft Office Suites, particularly Excel, for various accounting functions

• Engage in billing functions and check processing using SAP

• Oversee cash activity and manage accounts receivable

Requirements

• Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems is required

• Demonstrated expertise in Microsoft Excel

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suites is essential

• Knowledge and experience in Accounting Functions

• Experience in Accounts Receivable (AR) is necessary

• Familiarity with Billing Functions

• Ability to manage Cash Activity

• Experience in Check Processing

• SAP knowledge and experience is a plus
